Points to consider

How are you planning to travel to Bond University
each day?
Do you like peace and quiet, or action and adventure?
Do you want to live alone, or share?
How much can you afford to pay?

The Gold Coast is a diverse region and each suburb offers different experiences – you need to take this into consideration when choosing where to live and ask yourself:
1. How are you planning to travel to Bond University each day?
Walking – Varsity Lakes, Varsity Towers and Robina are the suburbs for you.

Driving / bicycle / public transport (bus) – You can consider suburbs slightly further from campus. i.e. Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach etc

Note: Suburbs including Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Mermaid Beach, Burleigh ARE NOT within walking distance.back
2. Do you like peace and quiet, or action and adventure?
If you want the option of 24-hour entertainment, 7 days a week, suburbs such as Surfers Paradise are ideal as this is where the majority of nightclubs and bars are.

If you prefer the quiet life, Robina, Varsity Lakes or Burleigh may be more suited. You can still catch a taxi into Surfers Paradise to experience the nightlife.back
3. Do you want to live alone, or share?

Share-accommodation can be a great way to meet new people, especially in a foreign country. You must be prepared to live with others who may not be as neat / messy or quiet / loud as you. Living costs will be considerably less than a 1 bedroom apartment or studio.back

4. How much can you afford to pay?

Be honest with yourself. There is a wide range of accommodation available. On the application form, we have divided rent into categories. This is for RENT ONLY. Utilities including electricity, phone line hire, Internet connection and cable TV are additional costs.

Once you have accepted an accommodation offer, you will need to pay a non-refundable housing deposit to secure your accommodation. back
