Mermaid Beach

Named as a result of cartographer Robert Stirling and colonial officer John Uniacke landing on this beach in the cutter, ‘Mermaid’, you wont find any mythical sirens of the sea washed up on the shoreline, but you will find pumping surf. In fact, water sports are a focus for this suburb, which is home to both a life saving club and surf viewing platform.

For short-stay accommodation for students and their families, Turtle Beach Resort is ideal. A tropical oasis minutes from the beach, the resort is the perfect base for exploring the Gold Coast.

If you’ve arrived early for the start of semester, or you’re visiting family or friends, Turtle Beach Resort is ideal for short stays.

Depending on seasonal availability, rent will vary. For more information visit the resort direct here.
